What we do
The committee consist entirely of parents of children who are currently, or have previously been, attending the pre-school.
We meet once per half term to discuss upcoming events, keep policies and procedures up to date, make financial decisions as well as discuss other ways in which we can support the pre-school and its staff.
We rely entirely on people volunteering to join in order to keep the pre-school running, and if you are a parent interested in joining, please come along to our next Annual General Meeting.

Hi, I’m Sarah, the Chair of Crestwood pre-school.
I have been a member of the committee team for nearly 4 years (1 1/2 years as chair!) and joining when my now 6.5 year old first started. I absolutely love everything about the preschool; its charitable status, the setting surroundings, and the team that cares for the children. Both of my boys have been on their pre school journeys with Crestwood. I am a professional accountant by trade, bringing a support to the charity for statutory regulation and any financial challenges and goals the preschool encounter. The committee team are all fantastic with a wide range of skills and most importantly the main objective of the best interest for the children. Crestwood preschool looks forward to welcoming your family. If you have any questions regarding the committee you can contact me on [email protected]. |

As first-time mum with my eldest starting Pre-school 30 hours a week; I wanted to have a better understanding about the environment he will be staying in. Being on the committee has given me a better insight into the setting and I have really enjoyed working with the staff and parents who care so much about the children’s development and their future. I have been a committee member for almost 2 years and now my youngest Son is attending the setting full time. He has gained so much confidence since he first started, and it is so lovely to see friendships growing. Please feel free to email me on [email protected]. |

Hi. I'm Katie and I have a daughter at the pre-school. She is my third and final child to attend the pre-school and this time round I wanted to get as involved as possible and make the most of our time linked to this wonderful setting!
I am finding the role really interesting and am enjoying the opportunity to contribute to the setting which has given so much to my family. My daughter absolutely loves it here. Her confidence has flourished and it is lovely watching her friendships grow. |

I joined the committee when my son started preschool, it’s been great to be able to have a real insight into the pre school setting and being apart of a friendly team who’s main goal is to see the children flourish and grow ready for the next chapter in their life’s. My sons confidence has grown so much in the last few months and he is building relationships with other pre-schooler's which is lovely to see. I decided to join the preschool committee after two of my eldest children went through the pre school. The attention, the nurturing and the start of education the pre school provided my children was beyond beneficial giving them both the best start of education both socially, emotionally and intellectually. The confidence of my children grew so much and they always spoke about the pre school staff and how much they loved them! When my grandson came into my care there was no doubt that I also wanted him to attend. The staff are incredible and the setting safe and secure. I knew once he started that I wanted to be part of the committee to volunteer my help and contribute further "behind the scenes" of the running of the pre school. My grandson has settled in so well especially with his key worker and has built up some beautiful friendships. As a committee member I hope to provide a valuable input to the pre school with the rest of the amazing team.
